Call for volunteers!

Mizzou Atlanta runs with the work of many volunteers and members – but we still need help with the following committees:

COMMUNICATIONS: We need help running our website, e-mail newsletters (such as this one), Twitter/LinkedIn/Instagram accounts, and we’re looking into expanding into other areas (Vine? Snapchat?). Do you have (or want) experience in these areas?

SOCIAL/MEMBERSHIP: After back-to-back SEC East titles, we are expecting our 2015 football watch parties to be huge. We’re also planning a number of job networking events during the coming year. So we’re going need help not only planning these events, but also making new folks feel welcome at these events. Are you an outgoing person who is good at these sorts of things?

STUDENT ENGAGEMENT: There are quite a few current students from the Atlanta area who attend the University of Missouri — let’s support them by sending cards and care packages, especially around final exams and graduation.

SCHOLARSHIP: One of the most important things Mizzou Atlanta does is provide financial assistance to students from the Atlanta area who wish to attend the University of Missouri. As you might know, out-of-state tuition at MU has skyrocketed, and the HOPE Scholarship has done a good job of keeping local students in the state of Georgia. That being said, if you’d like to be on the committee that reviews applicants and eventually select the scholarship recipient(s) — and it’s pretty tough, because these are very smart students — then sign up for the Scholarship Committee.

If you’re interested, then please e-mail President Brent Adams at Many hands make light work, and many of these roles probably won’t require you to even get off your sofa. #MIZATL
